Gilcrease in Your Neighborhood is ready for another year! Are you? This time our high-quality reproductions will be installed only in outdoor locations and for six months at a time each. Think: art on the trail! Five exciting locations have been chosen for this next version of our public art experience. Three you may have already visited, but two locations allowed us to build new partnerships for connecting with art while enjoying the outdoors. We know you’ll want to visit them all!

At the edge of a celebration in the Mexican state of Oaxaca, a young woman rests in her festival finery. She wears a brilliant red, starched lace-trimmed skirt, embroidered blouse (huipil), gold coin jewelry, and braided, ribbon-topped hair traditional for women from Tehuantepec (Tehuanas). Behind her, dancing couples and colorful paper banners (papel picado) enliven the village square. The canopy of trees bathed in golden light provides a lush setting for this joyful community gathering.
