Gilcrease Museum announces free admission for Oklahoma teachers

Teachers with studentsGilcrease Museum is pleased to announce free admission for Oklahoma teachers (and one guest) beginning October 5, 2019. The museum is honored to work with teachers across the state on a daily basis to foster a love of arts and culture in students and is committed to supporting teachers inside and outside the classroom.

“Providing free admission to Gilcrease is one way we can show our gratitude and appreciation for teachers and the positive impact they make on our children and communities,” said Susan Neal, executive director of Gilcrease Museum. “We hope teachers will enjoy the museum’s exhibitions, permanent collection, and programs, and carry some of that unique American experience back into the classroom. Gilcrease supports education at all levels and is committed to enriching the lives of those who visit.”

Gilcrease Museum strives to provide excellent academic opportunities for all ages and hosts numerous activities each year including the First Look program, field trips designed to provide first graders with their first museum experience. Additionally, Gilcrease offers art courses, camps, demonstrations, lectures, programs for toddlers and musical performances throughout the year.

Teachers can show their school photo ID at the entrance desk for free admission.
