Gilcrease Summer Tours

The Gilcrease Museum 2019 Summer Tour Program will explore the theme of being welcomed and welcoming others through the paintings and sculptures of immigrant artists in our exhibition Americans All!

Americans All! includes more than 50 paintings and works of sculpture celebrating over 200 years of American art by 26 immigrant artists. Artists ranging from John James Audubon (Haiti), to Albert Bierstadt (Germany), Leon Gaspard (Russia), Emanuel Leutze (Germany), Thomas Moran (England), Augustus Saint-Gaudens (Ireland), Jules Tavernier (France) and Olaf Wieghorst (Denmark) are just a few of the 26 featured.

These tours will take place from June 4 through June 7 and July 30 through August 2.

There will be two tours each day, one at 10:30 a.m. and another at 1:00 p.m. Each tour will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Children, ages 4-10, will hear the true story of a famed immigrant horseman and how he was welcomed in this country. Children will enjoy activities related to the theme and will get to take home a special art creation.

There is a maximum of 40 children per session. Admission is free, but reservations are required.
