This quarter’s Jazz Night will feature Devre Jackson in our beautiful Vista Room. Gilcrease After Hours

Gilcrease After Hours is our free, monthly evening of culture and cocktails that takes place the final Friday of each month. With our galleries open late, special programming, live music and cocktails, this happy-hour style event has something for everyone. On September 27, experience regional Mexican dances, food, and music and learn about Mexican modern art through artist demos, activities and gallery talks in Mexican Modernism: Revolution & Reckoning.

Drop-In Studio

Join us for studio time on the first Sunday of the month. Studio activities are inspired by museum collections and exhibitions, and encourage intergenerational, process-based creative learning. This program is appropriate for all ages and is free with museum admission. Children must be accompanied by adults. No reservations are required and visitors can stay for as little or as long as they would like. This month, practice printmaking with teaching artist Allison Lackner.

The Oklahoma Center for Humanities will host a public discussion forum on Oct. 17 at the Helmerich Center for American Research. The third Sunday of every month is Funday Sunday. It’s a FREE admission day loaded with fun for the whole family. Visitors can enjoy art-making stations throughout the museum, special exhibition-themed programming, open galleries and our gardens. Special activities and events are from noon to 4 p.m., but admission is free all day. October 20: Join us for an afternoon focused on photography, history, and storytelling in celebration of our newest exhibition Dorothea Lange's America.
