At Gilcrease, you’ll find a new way to experience art, history, and nature. After five years of transformation, we are preparing to reopen in an entirely new museum—designed from the ground up to steward and share one of the most comprehensive collections of American art and history. When you visit, you’ll move through stories that span 12,000 years, encounter works drawn from more than 300,000 pieces, and explore perspectives shaped by hundreds of cultures across the Americas—all set within 460 acres overlooking Tulsa.
Expanded gallery spaces, purpose-built exhibition environments, and light-filled public areas create deeper encounters with the collection and with one another. This spring, UNcrease activates the building with performances and community gatherings. Gallery installations follow, leading to our official public reopening in early 2027. We look forward to welcoming you back.
