Vista Room


One of the truly magnificent interior spaces for events in Tulsa, the Vista Room has been the venue for many significant and unforgettable occasions. Often used in conjunction with Helmerich Hall, a welcoming entrance from the galleries is met with an expansive wall of panoramic windows offering an ever-changing and dramatic view of the Osage Hills.

The room’s adaptable, open layout can be arranged to suit nearly every type of wedding and reception. From the ceremony, to buffet or seated dinner, bar and dance floor (complimentary 21’ x 21’ dance floor included upon request) the Vista Room can host it all. Multi-media presentations are enhanced by a drop- down screen and built-in sound system. Guest access of the galleries is available upon request. Docent tours can also be arranged with two weeks’ notice.

The Museum does not have facilities available for the bride, groom or their wedding party to dress for the ceremony.

Helmerich Hall


TThe Gilcrease Museum entry leads down a wide staircase into the simply elegant Helmerich Hall. This dramatic room is perfect for a cocktail-style reception and is often used in conjunction with the larger Vista Room which is linked by a short walk through the galleries. Bar and food service are available through our in-house caterer. Guest access to the galleries is available upon request. Docent tours can also be arranged with two weeks’ notice.

Due to the Museum’s occasional use of the space as a gallery, Helmerich Hall is not available for wedding ceremonies. Additional restrictions may apply to the use of this space. Please consult with the Sales Events Coordinator for further information before reserving this space.

Victorian Garden


This small formal garden, adjacent to the home of Thomas Gilcrease, is complete with a brick pathway, wrought-iron Gazebo, and water feature, and is perfect for Weddings, pre-event or cocktail receptions, and small gatherings calling for an intimate, outdoor setting. Rental includes use of the porch area of the house and the paved areas surrounding the garden.

Please note: The original home of Thomas Gilcrease is today an education center. Access to the Gilcrease House for a bride to dress is not available. Other restrictions and permits may apply. Please consult the Event Sales Coordinator before reserving this space.

Rental Fees*

Inclement weather insurance policy available. To ensure a space indoors is available for your wedding in the event of inclement weather, a $500 rain insurance deposit will be required to reserve either the Vista Room or the O’Hornett Great Room. The rain insurance fee is due with the signing of the event contract for reserving the Victorian Garden and is non-refundable.

Helmerich Center for American Research


Frances O’Hornett Great Hall, Stephenson Gallery and The David M. Leuschen Terrace

With its spectacular sweeping views of the Osage Hills to the north and west, the O’Hornett Great Hall and Stephenson Gallery are beautifully decorated and appointed with floor to ceiling, electro-chromatic windows that can be tinted, rock walls and white marble floors. The Great Hall is equipment for multi-media presentations and has a drop-down screen.

Reserving the Helmerich Center for your event does not include tours of the Gilcrease Museum galleries unless prior arrangements with two weeks prior notice have been made. Additional security fees will apply if gallery tours are requested during evening events.

The Helmerich Center does not have facilities available for the bride, groom or their wedding party to dress for the ceremony.

The Restaurant at Gilcrease


The Restaurant at Gilcrease, with a view that equals the Vista Room, is another great option to host your big day. The Restaurant has a private entrance, and parking is available close to the door. Working with the professional restaurant staff and Chef, each wedding reception is custom designed to fit your needs and budget.

Guest access to the museum’s galleries is available with prior arrangement.

Rental Fees*

$750 ($1,000 with Museum Gallery access for one hour prior to or during event for a Docent led tour. Tours must conclude by 8 p.m.)
