General Visitor Policies

Gilcrease Museum is a smoke-free facility.

Photography for personal use is generally permitted in the galleries (no flash photography, tripods, monopods or selfie sticks, please) and on the museum’s grounds. Please be mindful of other visitors.

Look for an icon at gallery entrances or on artwork labels if photography is not permitted. Please respect the photography policies posted throughout the museum. Some artwork and artifacts may be on loan from other museums, artists or private collectors, and may be protected by copyright law. Accessibility

The museum and formal gardens provide barrier-free access. Wheelchairs and strollers are available at no charge at the Visitor Services Desk on a first come, first served basis. Private and special needs tours, as well as garden tours, can be arranged with three weeks prior reservations. Please contact 918-596-2782, or gilcrease-tours@utulsa.edu for information. To ensure availability of an interpreter, five to seven days notice is needed; 48 hours is recommended for all other accommodations.

Non-Discrimination Policy

International Visitors

International groups may schedule guided tours of the museum’s permanent collection. Guided tours of our special exhibitions may also be available. Tours typically last about one hour and should be scheduled at least three weeks in advance. Based on docent availability, these tours are offered in the following languages:

  • French
  • German
  • Japanese
  • Russian
  • Spanish

All tours, except Self-Guided experiences, require three weeks advanced scheduling. To make tour reservations, please complete and submit a Tour Reservation Form.
