On July 4, 2021, Gilcrease Museum closed its doors for the last time as the building we have grown so familiar with. Over the next several years, we welcome you to join us as we watch the new Gilcrease Museum as it goes from foundations to cornerstone. We are excited about this new chapter for our wonderful space, and we cannot wait to share with you what’s happening every step of the way.
Even though our doors are closed for now, this is still your museum, and we are working to continue to give you access in new and different ways. You can virtually “visit” Gilcrease everyday by going to our website gilcrease.org where you can enjoy curatorial talks, family art activities, the online collections and more. Gilcrease’s online collection site is a great way to visit your favorite Gilcrease works and discover new ones along the way. With nearly 30,000 objects available, you’ll be able to quench your thirst for great American art and learn about items in our collection not generally on view.
