Explore the bronze sculptures in our To Endure in Bronze exhibition and in our gardens, and then learn about sculptural processes through hands-on art projects, an artist demonstration and a fun gallery activity. Activities are designed with the entire family in mind and take place from 12-4 p.m. Admission is free all day.

SCHEDULE

12-4 p.m.: Plaster Sculpture Using Molds
Learn about how molds work and use plaster tape to create a form and shape it into your own unique sculpture. (Creative Learning Center)

12-4 p.m.:  Figural Sculpture Activity
Create a figural sculpture inspired by those found on the Gilcrease Museum grounds and in the exhibition To Endure in Bronze. (Thomas Gilcrease House)

12-4 p.m.: Sketching Stations
Sketch different sculptures from various angles and capture their three dimensionality using pencil and charcoal techniques. (Vista Room)

12-4 p.m.: Self-Guided Exhibition Activity
Explore the exhibition To Endure in Bronze through a self-guided activity and pick up a prize after you complete your journey through the gallery and outdoor sites. (Helmerich Hall, To Endure in Bronze  & Outdoors)

1-3:30 p.m.: Artist Demonstration
Meet celebrated Tulsa ceramic and glass sculptor Virginia Harrison and watch her create an original work of art in clay.  (Helmerich Hall)
