Free with Admission
Girl in Translation

Join us for the second meeting of our new Americans All! Book Club with the Tulsa Literary Coalition. For this session, we’ll be discussing Jean Kwok’s 2010 novel Girl In Translation, which explores the story of a young Hong Kong immigrant in Brooklyn leading a double life as an exceptional student by day and a factory worker by night. Described as “an unforgettable and classic American immigrant novel – a moving tale of hardship, and triumph, heartbreak and love, and all that gets lost in translation.” Discuss the novel and explore its connections to our current exhibition Americans All!
